As a wedding photographer, you never know where your next job will come from. For this wedding I have Stella to thank. I love referrals from past clients, but this one was a little different. Stella happens to be Laurie and Andrew’s adorable black chihuahua. Andrew’s sister found my pet photography website, FidoJournalism, and commissioned me for a photo shoot while Laurie and Andrew were out of the country. It’s so gratifying to capture important milestones in people’s lives – from pets to weddings to children and families – and I’m so happy they thought of me when they needed a wedding photographer.
I was even more excited when I heard about their ceremony and reception site – the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology. It was certainly a unique atmosphere, dining and dancing amidst the relics and artifacts. It was a perfect setting for Laurie and Andrew, who both happen to be classics scholars. It was a wonderful day. Congratulations Laurie and Andrew (and Stella)!

I love this image of Laurie sneaking a peek at Andrew as she prepared to walk down the aisle.

The Museum of Archaeology was a beautiful and unique place for a wedding.

Stella couldn’t be part of the wedding ceremony, but she stopped by the cocktail hour!

Phoebe also came to give mom a kiss.
Dinner was in the Chinese Rotunda. Unfortunately pictures don’t do this massive room justice!

Dancing was in the amazing Upper Egypt gallery.

Paris was one of the best wedding bands I’ve seen in awhile. They rocked the classics and today’s hits.
Some details…
