Carolyn and John are a special couple, as evidenced by the fact that most of their guests traveled from distant locales to be there on their wedding day. Carolyn and John even provided a color-coded spreadsheet indicating how each guest knew the couple and where they came from. National Geographic seemed like the perfect place to host such an international affair. I was thrilled to finally have the chance to shoot there. It’s hard not to be inspired amidst the DaVinci exhibit and the stunning photos throughout the building.
Before we got to the reception, we spent some time in the city with the bridal party. Carolyn and John wanted to hop on the Metro for some pics, which was a ton of fun and provided so many creative opportunities! I love couples that think outside the box! Thanks Carolyn and John!

Carolyn’s grandparents were unable to attend the wedding, but Carolyn and John took advantage of a quiet moment to call them.
I thought this world map was fitting…
